Hours per dayYearly wage calculator
Days per weekWeeks per yearPay per hourTotal pay per weekTotal pay per yearUseful info'This is the total for the whole year. <This is how much you'd earn for each week you are working. ?1 year = 52 weeks. Most workers are entitled to 6 weeks off. 9A standard working week is usually 5 days, sometimes 6. +A working day from 9am to 5pm is 8 hours. 5Minimum wage: U18: 3.68, 18-21: 4.98, 21+: 6.19. iEnter numbers into the blue cells, then write a formula for each green cell to work out your total pay. rRemember: All formulas in Excel start with an = sign, and you can click on a cell to include it in the formula. =Use + to add, - to subtract, / to divide and * to multiply. Money in Money outper yearFThis cell gets its value from the yearly pay you already worked out.
Yearly payRent UtilitiesInternetMobile phoneFood HouseholdClothesLeisureComputerGiftsOther per month(add your own)jThis sheet has been set to only let you change the blue cells. You'll have to figure out how to make yourCown formula to find the total pay on your own worksheet (Wage Calc)SavingsMonthly pay;You will need a formula that works this out from Yearly Pay<Between 200 and 600, depending on how many you share with.?Usually around 60, but a bit less if you're sharing the house.<Usually about 25. A bit more if you include TV packages. ?Depends on the contract. Can be anything between 5 and 50. <Each person probably needs about 100 worth of food a month.DVaries depending on the person (expensive toiletries, etc). 30+. 3Work out how much you spend in the average month. BTry to find an average value for a month of extras and luxuries. ?Depends on how often you like to upgrade, or buy new gadgets. AWork out how much you normally spend, and spread over the year. *Any other expenses, or unforeseen needs. GIf you're saving for a car or a holiday, say, set some aside monthly. By filling in the blue boxes with your estimates, and making some clever formulas, you can work out whether you can afford to live within your means. Total expenses:=If you use the SUM function you can add a whole list quickly:$ ! The formula here is: =SUM(E25:E27) /(it adds up all the cells from E25 down to E27)Does my budget balance? Total in:
Total out:DWill you be earning enough to be able to spend what you have listed? Cut costsCut backCut out8Use a formula to link these boxes to the same ones above1Eg: =B2 will give the same value as in cell B2. What's left?>You need a formula to work out how much will be left over each6month, so take away the money out from the money in.
!1
3`You'll probably find this is negative - we find it much easier to spend money than to earn it. ^This is not sustainable - if you carry on spending more than you earn, you will quickly end upbin debt (and even that costs money!) Here's some quick pointers to help you reduce your spending:SFind out if there are cheaper ways of doing things. Can you haggle a better mobileOphone contract from your network? Is there a cheaper TV/Broadband deal around?TSometimes you just have to learn not to go to the cinema so often, or limit yourself!to one computer game per month. KThere may be some things you can do without altogether. Maybe you can stopSbuying expensive foods, or get rid of your TV. A car is a huge expense, so it willLsave you a lot if you can manage without it (make sure you take into account:how much you will spend on buses or buying a bike, though)TravelBIf you have a car, factor in around 200 if you're a young driver.cTry some of these things, change some numbers in your list of expenses and then scroll back down tonthe yellow box and see if things look any better. The formula you've made will automatically update itself. Budget CalculatorkWhen you've completed this sheet, click on the Budget sheet tab below to work out how much you're spending.NameZ(;;=>?4@=B!Dc LE0
