Victor Vasarely's Planetary Folklore (May 07)

Shapes

While relabelling the previous paintings, the Looking Glass Suite, I didn't really feel I could ignore these, sitting directly adjacent and simply reeking of amateurism.
Do you remember playing with coloured squares of paper in Primary school?  The great thing about these works, other than the fact that they would fit in perfectly on a year 3 classroom wall, is that the 'artist' didn't actually create them.  Apparently he came up with the idea and left the physical production to a 'team of assistants'.
